V6 3.8L Cold Air Intake or Whisper Lids
I have a question does anyone know where I can get ahold of a cold air intake system or a Whisper Air Lid for the 98-02 V6 3.8L Firebird? All I find on the net are the ones for the LS1's. Also is this mod even worth the money on a V6. I had one on my old 94' Z and I loved the sucking sound it made when you would stomp on the gas, sounded intimidating to me. I already have a K&N air filter so if anyone can help me out It would be great, Thanks

www.tbyrnemotorsports.com and www.thunderracing.com both sell whisper lids for the 98-02 V6 3.8. I have heard that there are 2 things worth adding to a v6. A new intake and exhaust. I don't have a whisper lid or cold air intake on my car, but I have been told that they are worth making the investment.

Whisper lids are readily available from several suppliers.
CAI's include the Fast Toys Ram Air kit (FTRA), the SLP CAI, and a newer one called the Supersucker. There are people who swear by the whisper lids. There are several who just break the fins out and raise the airboxes with some washers. In the '99 and up, a lot of people remove the maf screen in the front of the throttle body with good results. The guys at firebirdv6.com will give you more opinions on this stuff than you will even want to hear... :-)

Whsiper Lid
www.rksport.com has whisper air induction lids for like $160. you can also get a intakekit which is what i got. It includes k&n filter, Hose,clamps and whisper lid. all for $226.00.

Where can you find the full kit? I have a 3800 V6 Firebird and want a cold air intake package but all I can find are the ram air which i have heard is not as good...
